YES WE DID – The Aftermath Interview of Mama ASID by Mama ASID
I’m presenting this interview that I did of Myself, with the help of my many friends and callers to the station this morning. why, well I’m sure that in the small scope of things, it’s just more memorabilia from the day a Black Man Became President of the United States of America. YES HE DID.

I called and texted (yes I know that’s an ebonic word, but it works cause you all know what I mean) folks all day and late into the night, about the reason to vote.
last night at 11pm I felt such a relief in my texting fingers, when The Golden Oldie McSame Krewe decided to fold their tents and hop back on their snow machines, heading into the sunset, from whince they came.
YES WE DID -
It was the right time for a change, and today is that change.
Do We feel different today vs. yesterday ? – Oh YES WE DO. (from Lady D of TheLadyDShow.com)
Why ?
MA: Well it’s a quiet sense of comfort to know that your vote stands for something. when the shrub was appointed to the presidency twice in a row, it made me loose total interest in politics. because honestly there was no place for our opinion. now we feel that our opinion and our needs are important to this generation and will be important to this administration.
Do I Remember when this all started 21 months ago ? (from Chi-Chi51 of the head injury crew)
MA: oh you betcha (to coin a caribou barbie phrase) I was standing in my office looking at the possibility that someone who looks like me, and comes from a similar background as mine, could actually be president. it was a rush of possibility driven politics and I was included.
How do I think this will effect me for the next 4 years ? (from DJ Wise of the WiseTATS Crew)
MA: If we look at the politics of today, we can see that more people are interested, because more people feel included; unlike the consensus of the people, under the previous administration of G. Bush 43. more youth, more seniors and more soccer moms are interested. more people are talking about the changes they expect, and what they think. that in itself is a huge change, because it signals to us that the change is recognizable. it started at 11pm last night and when I went outside to smell the air on my front porch at 11:15pm last night, I don’t think it smelled different really; just the lightness of possibility made it more of a bearable stench. – (we’re located off the freeway, and the trash plant spews that trash into the air everynight after sunset, so the air can get kinda funky at times, but tonight, it’s not so bad really)
Do I think Barack Obama will be able to Fix America’s Ills ? (From King Bui of the Lutalo Family Government)
MA: when we look at the majority of america’s problems today, they point to economic malfeasance. and yes I spelled it right the firsttime without spellcheck, because I’ve said it so much, it’s a part of my normal vocabulary. and for the record here’s the definition :Wrongful Conduct By A Public Official. do I think 43 did it on purpose. OH YES I DO. He hated Americans and he did everything he could to bring this country to it’s knees. he broke the economy, and the working spirit of americans. he bolstered his cronies with huge contracts and wars. he made wiretapping and denial of human and civil rights his hallmark. do I think this will stop under Obama – OH YES IT WILL.
President Obama will stop this part and parcel dismemberment of the constitution and the rights of the american people. I believe that his approach to human rights will include ALL The People; not just Democrats. America is a Vast Land of Many Different Peoples, all with needs and hopes, just as vast as the land. Under President Obama, I believe we will see a New Dawn in America. I believe we will see a restoration of civil and human rights, as well as an end to the conflict that has crippled our country – Iraq.
Am I Happy with the Outcome of the Election – YES I AM, and I hope You ALL Are Too.

I got this from the ColorOfChange.org just a few moments ago – enjoy,
Dear Re,
We’ve just elected this country’s first Black President, Barack Obama–a leader who will work to serve all Americans. It’s a profound moment many of us thought we’d never see. What makes it even more special is that it couldn’t have happened without all of us.
That’s why we want to hear from you. What does it feel like? What did you do to help make this a reality?
We’re putting together a story about how ColorOfChange.org members feel at this moment and what you did to help achieve this victory–whether it’s something big or small. Your stories are an important part of this historic moment. We’d love to have you add your voice — it takes just a moment:

Ordinary people won this campaign for Obama and we should be proud. Black people and our allies stepped up as never before: some of us talked to friends and neighbors, some of us voted for the first time, some volunteered, some gave money, and more.
And we feel great–we were personally inspired by Obama and witnessed history we never thought we’d see. We moved our friends and family to get involved in the political process and made new friendships along the way that will last far beyond November.
As the dust settles, the whole media will be talking about how this victory came to be, and how everyday people feel about it. We want your story to be a part of that conversation.
Once we gather the stories, we’ll push to showcase them in the media, but we’ll also make them available to you. You’ll be able to see what your neighbors had to say–as well as someone half-way across the country. We’ll highlight the most interesting stories, and make sure the world knows how we helped make this happen.
A piece of this victory belongs to you. Make sure your story is a part of history:
