Then he apologizes to Jay-Z ?
Listen to T-Pain’s “Successful (Freestyle)” here ![]()
Anybody can see that T-Pain is confuzzled; but this shows he is schizophrenic, straight away. first you get dissed then you Apologize to the person who Disses You ? even after they diss you on YOUR SHOW ?
(This is from BallerStatus.com)
During a performance in Las Vegas in early September, T-Pain was caught on camera dissing Jay after a fan in the crowd yelled out “Jay-Z destroyed you.”
The comment pissed him off so bad that he took aim at Jay, saying “f*** Jay”, as well as calling him old.
Not only did fans catch the diss on camera, but rapper Fabolous was also in attendence, and tweeted about it. Then, later dissed T-Pain for it.
In a radio interview a few days later, T-Pain explained his frustration with the “D.O.A.” song, and his disappointment with Jay never publicly saying it wasn’t a diss toward him.
Autotune is a studio tool that has gone wayyyyy too far away from it’s true usefulness – in todays’ music studio..
and how does it get in the middle of an argument between two egoista’s ?
Clearly this is a buncha manufactured publicity for them both. since neither of them seems really willing to explain it; for the rest of us.
This is T-Pain at Rehab on Stage – where he made this statement :
“Jay-Z is 59 years old. I don’t think he has the right to say what’s good and what’s not,” Pain said at the club Rehab while on the mic. “I think if anything is dead, it should be him. … To any Jay-Z fans out in the crowd, excuse the f*** outta me. But you don’t see me saying ‘rap is dead,’ even though it is. ‘Cause apparently all the rappers are trying to do T-Pain.”
Then T-Pain goes on to explain a few different situations he’s experienced with Jay-Z since he dropped his infamous “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” single, which had Pain confused and frustrated more than anything.
Jay-Z “D.O.A (Death of Auto Tune) ”
“This is what happened: we was talking about it the whole day. I called Jay and I said ‘Yo, can you come out on my set, at the stadium, and do the ‘D.O.A.’ song? It’d be a big look for me and you. I praised the song, I love the song,’ ” Pain said. “At that time, he said ‘I’m triple booked. I’m in Switzerland right now. I can’t do it. I’m doing three shows in Switzerland right now.’ Then, I’m getting ready to go onstage … I’m ready to go and they like ‘Hold on, Jay-Z’s about to come out with Jeezy.’ I’m like ‘Jay-Z’s in Switzerland!’ They’re like ‘No he’s not, he’s right there.’ I look and there’s Jay-Z.
“We got on the stage and then, the line in the song where he says ‘I don’t need nobody smiling at this’, he pointed at me. At the end of the song, when I tried to shake his hand, he turned around and said ‘Good riddance.’ I’m like ‘Wow,’ he continued.
The incident he’s talking about is when Jay-Z performed at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert back in June, and brought T-Pain onstage as he performed “D.O.A.” While many took their appearance onstage as a sign that the pair were cool, the singer saw the evening in a whole different light.
“Me, personally, I didn’t see it from that perspective,” he said. “I tried to shake his hand and he turned around, gave the mic to somebody else and said ‘Good riddance.’ … I’m feeling like ‘Wow this guy really don’t like me, or he don’t like what I’m doing.’
“The whole thing [with his manager], he told me ‘Come on stage, doing your thing. Stand there, and just chill with Jay while he do the song.’ That’s the same thing I wanted him to do when I asked him to go on my set. Fantastic, that’s great. The next day, he went to the other station and said ‘Yo I don’t know who it was, I thought it was a fan.’ My thought process is like ‘Yo brother, the fruit of Islam is up there. Islam’s security and you got Jeezy’s security. Why would they let a fan up there?’ ” T-Pain questioned.
Despite all the confusion and the release of the track, T-Pain says he’s never had a problem. He’s only been upset because Jay-Z has never said that he WASN’T dissing him.
Yeah T-Pain made a career with it and now he’s whining about folks dissin it. all this happens decades after Roger and Stevie Wonder cloned it into vocals in the 70’s and 80’s. Did Jay or T-Pain even consider that history in these rants ? Apparently Not since they seem to have the mistaken belief that They Are The Death of Autotune.
Do you remember Zapp and Roger – this is where it all started
This is Computer Love – the Biggest Song ever done on Vocoder.
they followed it up with this hit – this is Zapp; the originators of using this Autotune device – Not T-Pain. This is in our opinion the way it should go down – Computer Love with Technology; Not Hate.
if you really wanna get a party goin you can pop on this jam Anywhere, Anytime, for Anybody – it’s universal
T-Pain and Jay Z go shut it down. This is What Autotune is All About;
