“Only in America can a dead Black boy go on trial for his own murder.”
The judge in the Trayvon Martin murder trial is laying down the law to the jurors. She is being clear and direct. there is no way that the jury can not convict George Zimmerman of at least manslaughter.
The Judge gave clear instructions after the state wrapped up their case in summation. Please take time and watch the very powerful presentation from the prosecution Atty John Guy. He Moved Everyone. It has been reported that as he talked about the way Trayvon was Murdered, members of the jury could be seen wiping tears from their eyes. This means he reached them.
The State of Florida vs. George Zimmerman (2012-CF001083-A): Prosecution’s Rebuttal Closing Argument
Assistant State Attorney John Guy gave the prosecution’s rebuttal closing argument. As stated before, since the burden of proof belongs to the state, it’s appropriate that the state gets the first and final word. Lest we forget, the State is in the business of seeking justice through fair and true verdicts.
By opening the rebuttal closing argument with a laser-like focus on the heart, Guy literally tugged at these six jurors’ heart strings, pun intended. “The human heart, it has a great many functions. But is it not the most important what it causes us to do? It moves us, it motivates us, it inspires us, it leads us, and it guides us. Our hearts,” was a powerful opening. Its purpose was two-fold: remind the jurors that Trayvon martin was shot in his heart while also putting the focus on what was in George Zimmerman’s heart.
The murder of Trayvon Martin was due to a 28-year-old underachiever in life, one who fancied himself with more authority than his neighborhood watch duties allotted him. That underachiever is George Zimmerman. Guy literally says those words in different and perhaps less inflammatory ways.
Guy picked up the baton from where Bernie de la Rionda left off. The redemption of Rachel Jeantel was compelling and the redemption of Dr. Shipping Bao was appropriate, too.
In Guy’s rebuttal on behave of the state, he points out that everything about the case, the lies of the defendant to the murder of the constitutional minor, is the faculty of George Zimmerman. Put simply, there would be no Rachel Jeantel if George Zimmerman stayed in his vehicle.
For the first time, the state posits an aggressive defense of Trayvon Martin. Guy repeated that Trayvon Martin had every right to defend himself, was scared, and none of us want to live in a world where an adult can follow a child in the dark.
Guy made sure the jurors were able to focus in on what the state deemed important. And I believe it was effective, compelling, and if a true verdict is to be the outcome of this trial, I honestly believe these six women will have to find the defendant guilty of second-degree murder.
In summation, Guy’s rebuttal closing argument was nothing less than powerful. It’s really a must watch.

Everyone now has to admit that they know George Zimmerman has Blood On His Hands – Forever. Prosecutor John Guy was this trials’ star and each time he had an opportunity, he brought the truth home.
There was a lot of tension in the courtroom. Most clearly evidenced by the faces of those who were shown on camera. The parents of Trayvon Martin were so overcome with grief that they left the courtroom during the summation.
We are told that this caught the attention of the jurors. no doubt the mothers must have been feeling the pain of Trayvon’s Mother Sabrina Fulton.
This is the Prosecution presenting Two Hours of What Happened To Trayvon Martin. No props or cardboard cut outs – Just The Facts.
For the Judge, this is a once in a life time display using her power as a woman and a mother to clarify and direct. no one wants this judge to send them to the naughty chair. We’ve really enjoy watching her doing the instructions because she is 100 percent all boss.
We are the coalition “March to Sanford – Justice for Trayvon.”
If Zimmerman is found not guilty by the mostly white jury, we the coalition plan to call nationwide protests demanding justice for Trayvon and an end to the racist system that brutalizes Black and Brown youth.
We will be at the courthouse throughout Saturday awaiting the verdict and rallying the people to demand “Justice for Trayvon Martin.”

Yes There is still support and there will be folks at the courthouse. No One is Going Away until justice is delivered in this case.
When Mark O’Mara attorney for the defense brought out a huge block of concrete during his summation. It brought a question to the entire courtroom.
No One Saw the Need for It. But Thanks to Mark O’Mara it totally brought the point home that Trayvon Martin was literally fighting for his life; after being Stalked by a stranger.
This is Trayvon Martin after George Zimmerman Murdered Him. Notice No White Knuckles or Blood on Trayvon. Yes that gives one a few things to consider. the forensics said no blood or concrete was found on Trayvon except for the blood from his gunshot wound. none was found on his hands or under his nail. So clearly Trayvon didn’t get any from his supposed 25+ pummeling fight with George Zimmerman remarkably.
During the forensics we do not remember any discussion of finding cement on George Zimmerman or on his clothes. Where is the cement? Could it be with that mysterious bush that no one has been able to find and bring to court ?
“Give Zimmerman back his life?! He’s out on bond driving through Taco Bell every night! Who’s going to give life back to Trayvon?”
We agree with Nancy Grace and others. This is a complete mess and the Jury most certainly will be needing more than a cup of wine to figure it out tonight.
We found this very interesting definition on our Tumblr dashboard tonight for Projection – check this out :
Projection (noun) def: the attribution of one’s own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or to objects; especially : the externalization of blame, guilt, or responsibility as a defense against anxiety.
1. Every 40 hours police in the U.S. kill a black person who is very often unarmed.
3. For centuries in America black people were—for no reason other than for being black—literally lynched, burned and brutally murdered by white people; as recently as James Byrd in Texas.
