Responding to reports of a shoot-out following his performance in Detroit, Jim Jones has debunked the rumors of gunfire taking place.
The Byrd Gang leader also expressed his thoughts towards Trick Trick who was originally reported to have been shot.
“Shout-out to Detroit,” Jones said in an interview with hip-hop personality Miss Info. “Negative. Nah, nah nah [no shooting took place]. What did the news say? Did the news say they was a shooting? Ah man, shout-out to Trick Trick, I hope he get better. Detroit clubs are tricky. They got a lot of problems going on out there.” (Miss Info)
Rumors cited the involvement of a Detroit rapper who had another version of “Na Na Na.”
Not everyone was happy with Jim Jones’ new song “Na Na Na.” There is a Detroit Rapper who had the exact song last year. Rumor is Jim Jones was jumped by 20 goons in Detroit, Michigan. Word in the streets is that last night around 2 am at Club Esko in Detroit, Jim Jones, who was about to perform, was rushed and beaten by at least 20 Detroit natives. Trick Trick is also addressed the rumors of him being shot saying he was nowhere near the club during the alleged incident.
He told WKQI-FM (95.5) on Monday morning that he was at home “restin’ and chillin’.” “I’m at home. I ain’t left this house since Saturday.” Trick told WKQI’s “Mojo in the Morning” program Monday morning. Trick said he received a concerned phone call from his mother early Monday, after she had heard a report on television that her son had been shot. After he told her he was safe at home, Trick said his mother called WDIV-TV (Channel 4) and told them to stop reporting the story. As for why he had been linked to the shooting incident that reportedly left two wounded, “I’m still trying to figure that out,” Trick said. (Detroit News)
Early reports said both Jones and Trick Trick were involved in a shooting Monday (March 16) morning.
Ten men rushed the Esko Lounge on Michigan Avenue near Shelby Street, according to Detroit police. The men got into a fight with rapper Jim Jones and shots were fired. Two men were hit, including a man police identified as Christian Mathis. Local 4 confirmed Mathis was taken to the emergency room at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He is in serious condition. The other man’s condition is unknown. Police are looking for the gunman. (Detroit Local News 4)

America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks says she is “concerned” after an audition for her show ended with six people injured and three arrests.
Thousands of modelling hopefuls were queuing outside a hotel in Manhattan, New York, when bedlam broke out.
Police cancelled the audition but could not say what had sparked the panic.
Banks and the show’s producer Ken Mok said: “We are concerned by the events. We still don’t know all the details of what triggered the incident.”
They added: “We appreciate the efforts of the NYPD and will assist them in any way possible in this matter.”
Reports suggest the incident involved a man charging into the crowd in an attempt to steal handbags.

This 13th series of the reality show is seeking 12 finalists who are shorter than the average model, with auditions only open to those under 5ft 7ins.

The US capital is suffering an epidemic of HIV/Aids worse than some African nations, with 3% of over-12s infected, the city’s department of health says.
Its report suggests the hardest-hit sections of the population are black men, and people aged between 40 and 49.
The infection rate puts Washington DC on a par with Uganda.
But one factor may be a drive towards more HIV/Aids testing, and the city government insists much is now being done to tackle the problem.
According to the report, both the United Nations and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have “historically defined an HIV epidemic as generalised and severe when the overall percentage of disease among residents of a specific geographic area exceeds 1%.

“The overall proportion in the District is three times higher,” the report says. By comparison, less than half of 1% of Americans are living with cancer.
Even the 3% figure, the report says, is certain to be an underestimate, as so many of Washington’s residents are unaware that they are infected.
“In the District, nearly every population group and age is experiencing a substantial epidemic,” the report says, with the greatest rates of infection among black men (6.5%), Hispanic men (3.0%), and white men (2.6%).
In terms of age, those aged 40-49 are the worst affected (7.2%), followed by those aged 50-59 (5.2%).
The main mode of transmission is men having sex with men, followed by heterosexual sex and infection through drug use.
‘Actually 5%’
The chief medical officer at the Whitman-Walker clinic, one of Washington’s biggest HIV organisations, told the BBC that the real figure could be even higher.
“When they’ve tested large groups of the District population it looks like the prevalence is actually about 5%, which is higher than the 3% but a lot of the people haven’t been tested yet,” said Dr Raymond Martins.
“I think we’re seeing the increase recently because the new director of our HIV/Aids administration here in Washington has put a large push for everyone to get tested and so with that testing you’re discovering all these people that are HIV-positive that didn’t realise they were.”
The report says the city’s Mayor Adrian Fenty and the department are following a three-pronged strategy to tackle the epidemic, by promoting testing for the virus, preventing transmission by providing free condoms and needle exchanges, and doing more for those already living with HIV/Aids.

Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, has split from her fiance, Levi Johnston.
Miss Palin’s pregnancy by Mr Johnston, 19, made headlines shortly after Sarah Palin was named as John McCain’s running mate in last year’s elections.
The couple’s son, Tripp Johnston, was born in December.
Mr Johnston told Associated Press (AP) that the couple had mutually decided “a while ago” to end their three-year relationship.
Speaking outside his family’s home in Wasilla, north of Anchorage, Mr Johnston said some speculation about the break-up, circulating on the internet, had been inaccurate.
In a statement issued through Sarah Palin’s political action committee, Miss Palin said she had been “devastated” by some media intrusion into their relationship.
“Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do many things to ‘cash in’ on the Palin name,” said the statement.
“Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth.”
Sarah Palin’s spokesman, Bill McAllister, declined to comment on the break-up.

The Alaska governor revealed her daughter’s pregnancy – and engagement – just days after being named as the Republican vice-presidential candidate by John McCain.
Mrs Palin is a social conservative who is opposed to abortion and the pregnancy became a talking point during the campaign.
In December, Mrs Palin said that her daughter and Mr Johnston were “committed to accomplish what millions of other young parents have accomplished, to provide a loving and secure environment for their child.”
Bristol Palin said in an interview with Fox News last month that Mr Johnston saw the baby every day and described him as a “hands-on” father.
The couple had said they were considering a summer wedding.

Fans on a ‘cold night’ queuing for tickets
Tickets for Michael Jackson’s 50-date residency at the O2 arena in London have completely sold out, organisers have confirmed.
Hundreds of fans queued at the venue as tickets went on sale to the public and over a quarter of a million people queued online.
Around 750,000 fans have bought tickets to see the veteran pop star.
Tickets sold at a rate of around 11 per second, promoters said – when they went on sale to the public on Friday.
Some 360,000 tickets were sold to registered fans before sales opened on Friday morning.
Organisers say the This Is It tour has become the fastest-selling in history, with people from as far away as Japan, Belgium and Dubai queuing up to purchase their tickets.
Jackson is said to be “thrilled” by the response.

Randy Phillips of promoters AEG Live told BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat a pre-registration scheme had been so successful he asked Jackson himself if he would do more dates.
“That wasn’t anticipated,” he said.
“We never thought ‘50 shows’ and frankly based on the queues on Ticketmaster, plus the 300,000 registrants we still haven’t issued codes to, we could spend two years here.
“Mike asked me how long he would be in the United Kingdom for and I told him, probably long enough to get a British passport.
“Michael’s already pretty much put together a list of the dancers he wants. Michael’s very engaged now.”
Ticketmaster’s director, Chris Edmonds, said: “We often talk about unprecedented demand, but this week we have witnessed a live entertainment phenomenon.
“This was undoubtedly the busiest demand for tickets for an event which we have ever experienced.”
Pre-sale tickets for Jackson’s first 10 dates sold out on Tuesday but some fans complained of “technical problems” trying to register online.

Tickets for the Jackson shows are already being sold on the online auction website eBay.
Prices on the site range from £170 to £10,000, but tickets bought directly from the singer’s website or Ticketmaster cost up to £75.
Jackson, who has won 13 Grammy awards, has said this will be the last time he will perform in the UK.
