As You Know we are BIG Serena STANS !

The Girl is so hot she’s got vapors drifting around her feet. she’s recently written on her blog about the Hateration and it’s cost to her personally. the fine was a record for tennis – $92,000.00.  No one has ever been fined this much for the same infraction.

in case you didn’t hear,  in the same outing a male player was accused of the  exact same infraction – and he was fined a meer $10.000. 82 grand less.

Serena Says Answer this: Why is it another player who also lost HIS cool not to a line judge – like I did – but to the main officiating judge- using the same “f word” why was HE only fined 10 thousand dollars. Was what I did 10 times worse than what he did?!

That’s Unmistakable

We Congratulate Serena on her approach to the fans and the world. she speaks for herself, and it makes sense. the fact that she has the magic to say that she’s sorry, even after noting the obvious discipline disparity; and to match it with a donation from her pocket, to support a school and children.

Class is what she represents in this post, and in her response to the disparity. no athlete should be treated this way, anywhere – ever.

Serena, You’re Wonderful and You’re Going Places Girlfriend,

To Be Honest, I Believe I Reached My Boiling Point | Official Serena Williams Blog | Serena Williams News and Celebrity Blogs | Global Grind.

Hey Guys!

As the world seems to know or for those who don’t I want to speak about my recently dubbed “outburst” and how I feel.

I have recently been fined by the Grand Slam Committee of the ITF (International Tennis Federation) over 82 thousand dollars for getting mad and using the “F-bomb” at a line Judge.

To clear things up FIRST I was NOT fined 82 thousand dollars. I was fined 92 thousand dollars! I paid 10 thousand dollars on site immediately after the U. S. Open.  So for the record, I was fined $92,000 not $82,000! The biggest fine EVER in tennis.

Also for all those that don’t know, I felt incredibly bad, and miserable for losing my cool, and most importantly not representing the person I really am spiritually and the role model I want to be to my young fans.  I have been a very feisty player all my life, but when the time came for me to be calm and cool, I did not exercise a mild temper. How I regret not being a better role model and person to all of my fans. I apologized to my fans and even wrote a personal letter to the lines woman with my apologies. She understood as she often witnesses this as it is not uncommon in my sport, or any other sport. She was extremely supportive and said that she did not think any further actions should be taken against me.

A few years ago in a most important match being watched my millions; I was blatantly cheated and robbed of a US Open title by yet another official. I was again on the wrong side of not one or two, but several other bad calls. This incident however changed tennis. Because of what was incorrectly done to me, the whole sport of tennis adapted new technology for a player to challenge the calls lines persons make if the player feels they were wronged.  I was expected to take solace in the fact even though I lost the U.S Open title (a dream I’ve been working for since I was 2 years old).  At least others won’t be wronged in the future.  I am always happy for the next person. I always am.  I received apologies from the USTA, the Lines Official, and the Head of the US Open. However I don’t recall EVER receiving a note, a phone call, a letter even a text from anyone at the Grand Slam Committee ITF apologizing about the wrong and disastrous call one of THEIR officials made.

When I was a teenager I was booed by an entire packed stadium at Indian Wells. In my new book “On the line” I talk about how I remember crying on every changeover in the towel. Praying and wishing I could lose and the match would just be done with.  When the match was over I thanked the crowd those that cheered for me, and even those that did not. Looking back I am still amazed how I remained so calm and positive, and even managed to come out on top.

The fact is every professional athlete gets wronged in one way or another. And every athlete gets upset. We have been working, sacrificing, missing out on numerous things, things we will never get back or experience for the sake of our careers.  For the sake of that one moment in time where we have a chance to shine through.

Imagine for 20 years working day in, day out, sacrificing on countless things to get this job, that will make all your hard work and endless efforts worthwhile.  Try to imagine having that promotion in one moment being taken away from you because of a slight over sight, by someone overseeing your work.  20 years gone away. Time to start over, dust yourself off and try again. You work harder make positive changes. It happens again.

“Dust yourself off” you say. “Try again”

You do just that. You work even harder than before, spend longer hours. Then it happens yet again. Another slight oversight.

Well this is what happened to me, and to be honest I believe I reached my boiling point. After yet ANOTHER wrong call I began to wonder- Was I being “overlooked” or wrongly judged on purpose!??? Is this being done to keep me from achieving my best? Why does this keep happening at the same place?

Throughout my career I have remained calm. But I guess I finally reached my breaking point. A point I should have never allowed myself to get to.  Everything seemed to have surfaced. As you know, losing my cool cost me over 92 thousand dollars.  92 thousand dollars!  This is more than most people make in a year.  92 thousand dollars!

Answer this: Why is it another player who also lost HIS cool not to a line judge – like I did – but to the main officiating judge- using the same “f word” why was HE only fined 10 thousand dollars.  Was what I did 10 times worse than what he did?

There is another HE who was fined less than half of what I was fined after someone in his camp actually physically ATTACKED an official!!!!

What about the famous HE who made arguing with officials “cool”. Cool for “MEN” I guess.
Is it because they are all HE’s and not a SHE like me?

It is indeed a massive difference. Being American I guess the 1st amendment, freedom of speech, does not apply to a SHE in this case?  In any event the Grand Slam Committee, ITF and its staff did not hesitate to call, send a note, text, nor write letters after this incident.  Ironic is it not?

I don’t mind being fined. If I did wrong I accept the repercussions. All I ask for is to be treated equal.

When I was fined the 92K, I asked to see if I could donate some of it to different schools, and programs I’m involved in.  My request was denied.  So, I decided to match the fine by raising money and donating an additional 92K to my 2nd school that I am opening up in Africa, as well as to schools that I am helping here in the United States.  I also want to educate women about what I learned from this whole experience. How we as women are still treated as less than equal.  I am going to turn this 92K into a positive!!!  And I have decided to call it Serena’s 92K mission!!! Go to Serenawilliams.com to learn more about my 92K mission.

Xxxx,
Serena Williams

FF: Serena is the hottest moneymaker in sports

Meet The 2009 Woman of the Year -  Ms. Serena Williams

It’s True that she’s made more money than anywoman in tennisever. yes she is the WTA 2009 Woman of the Year.  who else could so confidently go from the top of the ladder in womens tennis to the bottom, and still get the cover of all the sports mags in the universe – Only Serena.

Earlier this year, Serena and sister Venus; bought an owners share of the Miami Dolphins. That also made Them the First Black Women to Own a piece of the NFL. This is really how you make history.

when she appeared at US Open this year, she was at the top of the ladder in womens’ tennis; only to be pushed back to the bottom, because of a line judges’ complaint against her. still she remained at the top of the earnings ladder.  there are just some things that you have to realize about stars like Serena; she is a moneymaker, regardless of peoples opinions – because She’s Hot and she works hard to keep at the top of her game, always.

She has a career in design, and fashion. she travels the world and is seen on red carpets everywhere, always looking hot and fresh.

Did You Know -

Our Serena Williams Tag is the hottest tag for serena on the internet. people click in to see her 24/7 – 365. she’s just that audience friendly. It’s predicted that she could surpass Jenna Jamison as the most downloaded celebrity on the internet before the end of 2010.  We think she puts her best face forward always, and mostly it’s her ability to not feel selfconscious infront of the camera. she says that she grew up in public; so the cameras that have followed her since she became a tennis phenom, no longer seem out of place to her. she has accepted her celebrity and in our opinion, she wears it well.

Serena is On and Poppin,

Women of the Year 2009

She is a Woman of the Year because: “When most people would falter, she is able to raise her game a level, and that’s what you look for in champions. I feel confident she will win more major singles titles than my 12. And that makes me very proud.” Billie Jean King, tennis champ and 2006 Woman of the Year

Serena Williams

Photographed by Brigitte Lacombe in Brooklyn, one week after winning Wimbledon

Serena Williams feels the pull of competition the way the rest of us feel gravity. It’s why she entered her first tennis tournament at age eight (against her dad’s wishes). It’s why she’s earned 11 Grand Slam titles, two Olympic gold medals and more prize money than any female athlete in the history of sports. “I use the trophies as punch bowls,” she says, laughing. But along the way, she’s had to overcome setbacks and personal tragedies, including the 2003 murder of her beloved sister Yetunde and injuries that relegated her to 140th place during the 2006 season.

After tooth-and-nailing her way up the rankings again, this year she capped her comeback by winning Wimbledon against her sister Venus. (“I love you, Venus,” she later tweeted. “You made me work hard today.”) Of course, Serena’s competitiveness also fueled her outburst at this year’s U.S. Open, for which she soon made amends. “I want to sincerely apologize…. I handled myself inappropriately,” she said, then calmly won the doubles title with Venus. Other recent victories: She came out with an apparel line on HSN and an autobiography, On the Line.

Even more important, in 2008 her Serena Williams Foundation opened a secondary school in rural Kenya, with plans for more. “My goal is not to be the best athlete in the world,” she says. “My goal is to help others…. When I cut the ribbon at that school, I felt so genunely happy. I’ve never felt that way winning Wimbledon or any other tournament. And I have won them all!”

Serena Williams Named Woman of the Year

Sat, 11/07/2009 – 3:30am by FitSugar

Looks like having a potty mouth won’t hurt you too much. Serena Williams is one of 11 outstanding ladies Glamour magazine has chosen for its Women of the Year issue.

Glamour cites Williams’s competitive spirit and drive as a testament to her success, even in the face of hardships like the tragic murder of her sister Yetunde and her rise through the rankings after suffering injuries in 2006. This year it all came full circle for Williams when she captured the Wimbledon victory against her sister, Venus — whom she credits as being a major force in motivating her to work the hardest and become the best.

Besides her Wimbledon victory, Williams has 11 Grand Slam titles, two Olympic gold medals, and has earned more prize money than any female athlete in history. But her trophies and bank account aren’t the only reason Glamour thinks Williams is tops. Between winning matches, she’s managed to start her own clothing line, pen an autobiography, and open a school in Kenya through her Serena Williams Foundation.

Who else did Glamour name as Women of the Year? Some of the other notables Williams holds court with are Michelle Obama, Maria Shriver, Rihanna, and poet Maya Angelou.

Serena Gets Paid – Mayweather’s Maybach Repo’d YUPPPER

Serena Stops all the Chat with a Plug, No Doubt it’s Gold Baby

the past few days everybody has been all abuzz about the tennis fracas that Serena was involved in. it cost her dearly. taking her standing from number 1 in the world to below number 500. that just makes no sense.  Like the true superstar she is,  she recovered well. This time it’s with Mother Nature giving her a hand.  the Tampax folks knew who’s booty to get for that plug – yes pun intended. Serena will be the new face of Tampax. Perfect Indeed.

Get Paid My Girl, they can’t stop you cause you are the chick with change

according to brandweek.com. Print ads feature the athlete beating Mother Nature in a game of tennis and hit newsstands last week, primarily in teen titles like Teen Vogue.

Tampax will also begin airing videos with Williams on its Web site. The videos, which are part of a series, depict Williams in various predicaments with Mother Nature. The tennis star, however, is “unstoppable and prepared, like our Tampax girl,” said Courtney Schuster, associate brand manager for Tampax. “[Williams] doesn’t let Mother Nature get the best of her.”

The endorsement deal comes despite the incident at last week’s U.S. Open, when the star shouted a series of profanities at a line coach and was disqualified. Williams has since apologized for her behavior, though she maintains she won’t change who she is despite her actions.

Experts predicted no sports sponsorship dangers for Williams, and advertisers Kraft and Nike have publicly stated their support.

A law firm in Las Vegas claims the boxer has yet to pay up for real estate work executed on his behalf in recent months, reports tmz.com. They are suing for $10,000 — plus interest and costs.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that JP Morgan Chase Bank sued the fighter in Clark County District Court on Wednesday (Sept. 16) claiming he owes more than $167,000 on an auto loan that is in default

The suit shows that in April 2007, Mayweather borrowed $415,695 to finance the purchase for $512,184 of a Mercedes Maybach 57S from dealer Fletcher Jones Imports in Las Vegas. The contract called for an interest rate of 16 percent and 72 monthly payments of $9,077, which the lawsuit said Mayweather failed to make beginning in February 2008.

Court records indicate the bank repossessed the vehicle in January 2009, when the past-due balance had grown to $36,309 and the balance due was $363,000. After the bank sold the Maybach for $196,000, JP Morgan Chase said that as of March, Mayweather still owed $167,192 on the contract, plus unspecified legal expenses.

Bobby Brown is STILL a Turd.. Still.

Nippy is busy tryin to get herself together and he’s busy tryin to just stay in the loop. why doesn’t one of these celebrity rehab or intervention shows just ambush his ass ? that’s what they should do to help him get over himself.

he got pissy cause Nippy got big; even though he was also a star at the time. oh so now it’s a “WE” Thang. Bobby you outta yo damn mind. you know Nippy wan’t on no coke till yo ass brought it into the picture to try to control her; since she was the Rising Star and you were still a turd. Brown’s view of his relationship with Houston comes amid the chart-topping diva’s sit-down with Winfrey for the two-part season premier of the entertainment and business mogul’s self-titled talk show. Referencing incidents of physical violence and drug use, Houston detailed how her marriage spiraled downhill in part due to her worldwide fame following the success of her film The Bodyguard and the hit single from the feature’s soundtrack, “I Will Always Love You.”

“Something happens to a man when a woman has that much fame,” said Houston, who tried to downplay her popularity by having people refer to her as “Mrs. Brown.” The influence of drugs was rampant for Houston and Brown as the songbird for marijuana and crack cocaine as her drug of choice. With being around each other so much, Houston labeled her ex-husband as “my drug” during their time together.

“I didn’t do anything without him. I wasn’t getting high by myself. It was me and him together, and we were partners, and that’s what my high was — him,” the Grammy winner shared with Winfrey. “He and I being together, and whatever we did, we did it together. No matter what, we did it together.”

Houston wasn’t the only one who took a liking to cocaine. Brown admitted the drug was also enjoyed by him as a way of dealing with his personal problems.

“It’s a powerful drug,” he said. I just think I was bored, you know. I had just gotten married and things wasn’t right. Unfortunately, I turned to alcohol and drugs…I used an awful lot, you know, and um can’t take that back.”

Despite the powerful lure of drugs that still tempts her, Houston says she was able to kick her habit through the power of prayer.

“Don’t think I don’t have desires for it,” the vocalist said Tuesday during the second part of her interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show. “It takes me a minute to cleanse … I have to pray it away.”

Learning from her experience, Houston says she takes things “one day at a time.”

Serena beats Venus to capture inaugural King Cup event

NEW YORK (AFP) — Reigning US and Australian Open champion Serena Williams defeated elder sister Venus Williams 6-4, 6-3 in the final of the made-for-television Billie Jean King Cup one-day tennis event.

Serena Williams won 5-of-14 break point chances over the reigning Wimbledon champion to capture the 400,000-dollar top prize in the four-woman event at Madison Square Garden.

“It was really intense,” Serena Williams said. “She never gives up. That’s what’s so hard about playing her. She hits so hard and she runs down everything. That is what’s so frustrating about her.”

Venus Williams, coming off WTA titles in Dubai and Acapulco, opened by defeating 2008 year-end number one Jelena Jankovic 6-4 in one no-ad scoring semi-final. Serena beat 2008 French Open winner Ana Ivanovic 6-3 in the other.

That set the stage for a sister act showdown in the best-of-three set final.

Serena surged ahead 5-1 before Venus rallied, but Serena opened a 5-2 lead in the second set and broke Venus in the last game, claiming the trophy on her second match point.

Venus opened the door with her fifth double fault and Serena followed with a pair of forehand winners to secure the triumph.

“I tried but she was too good,” Venus Williams said. “She just didn’t miss and I needed a little more luck.”

Each of the Serbian stars received 250,000 dollars while Venus settled for a runner-up prize of 300,000 dollars in the 1.2 million-dollar event.
