I don’t talk about the hubby much, because he is so private. there is alot going on at my home right now in many ways. deaths, problems, issues with health and of course living with hubbys’ renal failure. His doctors have given him a no-go on a transplant. this is in essence a death sentence. a very slow and painful death sentence.
this is not a choice you get to make, when you need an organ; it’s a choice made for you by doctors, nurses and a committee.
yes a committee decides if you are worthy of receiving even a cadaver kidney..
this is ludicrous to me, because if I am willing to donate a kidney to be a part of a transplant chain, surely they can put it together. but alas that’s not how it works; if you are not a millionaire.
that’s why that mass transplant was such a christmas miracle for each of the donors and recipients. I pray for them all and ask you to think about your loved ones this year. you never know what could be just around the corner for you, health wise.
Then we have this story where the doctor himself is accused of Buying and Selling Organs. there have been many reports of Indian Organ Rackets over the years. this is the first time I have seen a doctor as the accused. this just goes to show you, how bad the problem is for those who are in need of an organ. India has a hospital system for transplants; and apparently it works.
As the loved one of someone who has been denied a chance at a transplant; and also as a confirmed Organ Donor; I just want to take this time to say to each of my friends – cherish the time, live it to it’s fullest and savour it like the finest cognac. Life is a present. there is nothing greater than being able to wake up and see the day, and those you love.

Sitting waiting for a table in a restaurant recently, we overheard some men talking about the women in their lives; and the conversation was on of all things – Hair. yes Hair. but not just any hair. the men were talking about if the Womens Drapes (hair on her head) Matched her Carpet (hair on your personal parts).

Talk About Deep, and Leaning – these men had me about to roll on the floor. so today we ask you
Ladies – Does Your House Have the Same Color Scheme, or are you doing a lil custom decorating ?
Amazingly the White men said that they didn’t know the real color of their womens’ hair until they saw her nude and in the shower. two of them said they didn’t really know if it was all their womens hair after seeing the new wigs and clip in hair thing that’s hitting the white beauty market finally. that’s crazy. they said that All White Women Colored Their Hair. Somehow I doubt that.
Infact I’m curious to know how many of my Female Visitors Do Actually Color Your Hair
The Blackmen in the conversation said they were unsure of their womens hair peroid, as they wondered in lots of cases if the womens’ hair Was Real or My Indian Hair – yessss,,,, Sistawomen We got the mens confuzzled. the question of color with the Blackmen was simple – they assumed that with that much action going on up there; that there had to be color and something. most said that they expected the Black women to have hair that was similar to what they remember their moms’ having naturally – underneath their hair.
What ? Underneath their hair ?
apparently the men think that the women have two types of hair; which explains why they have no expectation as to the Carpet and Drapes matching. What the.. Had I known this about thirty fiiive years ago, I shoooo wouldn’ta took all them trips to the hairdresser to be initiated into the sisterhood of Miss Clairol. actually it was Creme of Nature; since I am after all a woman of color.
one of the men commented on how he didn’t know if all women had carpet these days since his wife didn’t. apparently she’s had it removed, or keeps “Her Floors Waxed” if you know what he means. Whew ! that’s just too high maintanance to be real; or useful. and no she’s not a supermodel but a suburban soccer mom.
I hope that you will spend a moment and give us a few clicks to figure out if there is a difference in how women of certain ethnicitys decorate. Some how I’m curious to see how many folks will answer such a personal question. even though it’s clearly visible when you’re on the chemicals. I admit that I do use the stuff myself, and probably will continue. the color change for me is all about accenting my Green and or Hazel eyes; and Light Brown skin. Somehow it just became a part of who I am.

why would someone go to the extreme of bleaching their skin because they felt the need for public acceptance from lighter skinned people ?
it’s quite simple, because much more preference has been assigned to the physical traits and brighter skin often attributed to caucasions.
last year we looked at the problem of a family of Jamaicans’ who were known as “Bleachers”. they would rather get skin cancer than stop using the dangerous bleaching creams.
there is a sickness in this that I see repeated often; mostly on Indian and Asian websites selling these so called brightening skin creams. they are the exact skin creams that contain huge amounts of hydroquinone; the cancer causing agent ruled to be unfit for importation into Jamaica and other places in the Caribbean, just last year.
This symbolic removal of ones skin leads us to think that the sickness felt inside must emanate from the sickness imposed by the society that we base our morals and lifestyle choices upon.
maybe it’s time we stopped believing the hype, and looked into the mirror AT Ourselves
Almost a decade ago, we lost my dear Mother In Law – Clara, to Breast Cancer. it was her second go round and this time the cancer was relentless. she suffered because her doctors didn’t do the proper follow up care for a breast cancer survivor.
yes I said survivor,
you see Mom had beaten it once. the return trip could have been prevented had her doctors been as interested in seeing her as they were the drug reps who bombard them during patient clinic hours.
am i pissed at the drug reps – well in a word, no – but then again it’s really the doctors that I am pissed at. they neglect their patients to get free trips to go play golf, instead of learning how to better prevent and detect reoccuring Breast Cancers since they after all Are The Doctors..
America places alot of stock in the drug companies. the drug companies used to having it their way; are twisting and whipping our elected officials into pretzels. these pretzel heads are not thinking about My Mom Clara, nor are they thinking about the rest of the women in the world who really need their attention.
yes this is a rant of sorts, but it’s more of a I’m getting fed up with the whole situation.
By Now I’m Sure that most of you realize that when I get fed up with something, Shit Happens, to bullshitters – peroid.
yes I do consider myself a bit of a world whipping master, but then again who else is attempting to do it but me ?
these drug reps have shown up to my former doctors office when I was sitting there waiting for my appointment, long past time; and were ushered into the doctors waiting room as though us patients waiting, didn’t matter.
Why ? because some doctors build their private lives around the freebies and perks these drug reps bring every visit. many get payments from the drug reps for the amount of a drug they prescribe – as profit sharing. yes doctors get paid for Prescribing Drugs.
The Healthcare Industry is sadly in need of time in the naughty chair and these lobbyists who are pushing this bitter pill of ignorance to the legislators need a lil face time with Me. yeah with ME.
all of then should sit and listen to me talk about what they did to Mom and what they do to My Husband three times a week. yes he is on long term renal care: Dialysis. his kidneys were destroyed by a so called doctor who spent more time during our doctors’ visits talking about his latest shopping trip to the philippines; than how he could control my husbands extreme blood pressure issues.
Finally One Day I Got Fed Up
Yes you know it, that doctor is no longer seeing either of us. oh I let him keep practicing, but not before he heard what I had to say in front of many of his longterm patients in his waiting room.
Yes I did take him on at His Office – Doctor to Doctor; Me with a Bag of Drugs and my Louis Vuitton Doctors Satchell packed and loaded
He was shocked, and tried to act like he was in charge. Not a chance. everybody knew Who Was Runnin Thangs at that moment, including Him and The Drug Rep.
I watched the looks on the faces of the many patients who were watching as I began to pour out a grocery bag of medicines he had pushed onto my hubby and myself needlessly. Everyone of them paid close attention.
they all paid attention like this was class; not one of them looked at me as though I was a raving lunitic. the drug rep who was standing in the door turned toward the doctor as his signal to try to distance himself from the display, was obviously the target; and everyone who was there knew.
was this my plan ? NO not at all – but my husbands’ blood pressure meds destroyed his kidneys as his doctor sat back and prescribed two, then three different medicines, instead of finding the cause of this blood pressure problem. The doctor could and should have been sued. This happens ALOT..
I felt a physical demonstration would do much more to help him stop this; than to stand in court with his insurance companies lawyers. the patients who were there didn’t see a lunatic, they saw a young professional woman; also a Doctor - who had a sick young husband who was being ignored, by a doctor trying to do the same thing to them.
To Everyone Present – That Was A Kodac Moment
many of them also were holding grocery sacks full of prescriptions – since you are asked to bring your meds to your visit. that was the key. The Drugs in “SACKS”
thus the connections to those drugs were made in their minds; and the minds of the people who witnessed it from the other clinics. it was amazing to say the least. a spontaneous combustion caused by A Drug Rep.
the drugs were only one symptom of the real problem
the issues I’m talking about are not foreign to any of you, and lots of you probably have stories much more intense than this little rant. to put it mildly – some of you are sitting there reading this, knowing that there has to be a better way to combat this rising tide of health mistakes and inactions.
It’s Making Us Sick – Literally,
Now the drug companies want the entire population to take a live or dead virus to supposedly prevent you from getting sick ? STOOPID. not gonna happen to anybody I know, as I am making it as clear to them as possible. why would you take something into your body to make your body sick ? NO WAY JOE DOE. that’s for those who don’t know anybetter.
so with this short rant I hope you have realized that there are lies being shoveled at you about your connections to the health care crisis. you only need look as close as your medicine closet to see the truth. The Drug Companies Are Trying To Kill You and So are Their Lobbyists.
Women Get With the Program, eachtime you shower – Grab Those Girlyparts and make sure there’s no strange new stuff going one. do it everyday, not just once a month. the cells are there and if you feel them, let somebody know QUICK.
Men You have some parts that need fondling too – so we already know you are well aquainted with the procedure, You are hereby ordered to do the daily investigation and to find those nodules and point them out to the doctor as fast as possible. remember nodule, not nuts. : )
Personally I want to encourage each of you to think of Your Body as A Temple. it’s your home while you’re here with the rest of us, so maintain it in some semblence of comfort. dont’ let it fall apart and not do anything. there are programs in place in most communities for healthcare – just not the strongest programs.
That’s what we need to work on, NOW
If You Can – Volunteer; if you can’t - make phone calls, talk to folks, email and Write Letters; make the legislators know that We Demand Equal Rights in Healthcare.
Did You Know that federal elected officials get the gold standard for little more than $500. a year; yet the citizenry sucumbs to diseases that can and should be cured, now.
Say No More Golf Seminars for Them and the Lobbyists unless they involve taking a group of Citizens along as monitors; No More Weekend Retreats to Las Vegas unless Citizens are going along for the ride. And finally Say No More High Premiums on Insurance for the Medical Community -as this is what is making it damn near impossible for some men, women and children; to get adequate healthcare in their states.
if the lobbyists and insurance co’s get all the benefits, Why are We Paying for Premium ?
Isn’t it time we Said “Hey This is MY LIFE, and I Demand a Stake in It. Im sick and tired of this and I’m Not Gonna Take It ANYMORE
