A few nights ago we caught this new episode of South Park – Whale Whores. the episode starts out with Cartman and the kids singing karaoke of Poker Face with some special Cartman Only lyrics. it’s crazy, check it out -
there is nothing funnier than watching a make believe character lie. this is the short version of Cartman singing the poker face video.
as a comparison we had to give you a real character doing Poker Face as well – who better than Christopher Walken, yeahh King Of New York.
and of course the original Poker Face – Gaga ..
Back to Southpark –
this show was so crazy that the emotions I had after watching it ranged from pissed to just plain disgusted. yeah cartman does that to most of us.
This is Stan and his family at the Denver Dolphin Encounter – where we first see the Japanese. Suddenly they appear as a bunch of raging spear fighters, killing the Whales and Dolphins at each of the water parks. it becomes such a bloody metaphor. none of it makes any sense, it just seems like there is so much blood with no reason as to why the Whales and Dolphins are being killed. children and crowds are shocked as the fish are massacred.
You don’t know the backstory until the end of the episode. this is btw, about the japanese whale hunting movie released recently – Cove.
Stans’ dad tries to tell him another lie, but Stan decides to try to do the right thing, as always. In the end they lie to the japanese again. the backsotry is all about lies and historical hatred. it really drives the point home.
The end is a must see. the rest makes no sense without watching the end. it’s a short 22. minutes; and as always quite entertaining, from a hard ass cartoon point of view.
as a bonus – we’re throwin in the Tune that rocks our Desktop on Startup – yeah, we know it’s your fav too – what else but the one and only Californiananah. Oh Yeah big homies from the east to the west are rockin this baby.
That’s Right, it’s Music Monday so lets get it Crunk
Who is really listening to the loud discourse on disrespect these days ?
Former US President Jimmy Carter seems to be tired of the disrespect being directed toward our President – Barack Obama. so much so that he is speaking out, and joining the chorus of voices asking for these pinheads to be quiet.
Mr. Carter has said that the problem of racism is longstanding; but presently it’s amplified because we have a Black President. Correctomundo El Presidente Carter.
I Agree with Mr. Carter’s keen assessment of the present political situation. It makes us recognize that folks like Glenn Beck, are the Loud Rusty Point of a group of totally mis-informed loudmouth Pinheads. not one of them is willing to put up any evidence to connect the dots on facts.
So much so that Joker Glenn Beck enjoyed an unpaid vacation recently for his part in stirring this cauldron of lies. I’m waiting for them to finally pull the plug on his weekly hatefest. he like Rush Limbaugh abuses the line between fact and fear mongering – for no good reason at all. that’s their program format.
(this image is stolen from The Bobofiles.com – thanks Mr. Bobo)
the reason I linked to this pic is because I won a contest a few months back and got a book from Mr. Bobo. (Thanks Mr. Bobo) Of Course it was the Glenn Beck revision of Common Sense. all I can say is I read it and I’m glad I did and didn’t have to spend any money on it, or stand in line at the library to check it out; because I can confirm from Glenn’s writing that He is at least half way to somewhere, nowhere near fact. obtw, the library does not carry it since they don’t consider it a real book, but a political pamplet or fundraising item. that in my mind officially makes it … well anyway,
Factcheck.org has pointed out numerous falacies being spouted by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and their fellow pinheads. they’re not republicans, democrats, or liberals – Just Plain Ole’ Pin Heads with their own version of some new style political rhetoric. it’s not composed of any rules we’ve ever seen and it certainly doesn’t include possibilities for each of us. just them -thankfully.
I’m sure that these folks who are unwilling to expand their view to include facts are screaming so loud, because they think it makes them appear more intelligent.
WRONG Senioritas !
It’s been proven that people pay more attention to those who speak softer and deeper. remember Bill Buckley ? This winey loudmouth minority who have camped themselved squarely in the middle of neo stupid american media; has created such a distraction that most of us are not sure what the heck is really happening on either side.
Do You Think they Understand this ?
somehow when I read these stories in contrast between the crazy pin heads and smart humanistic experienced people like President Carter; it makes me wonder how everybody else is missing them. could it be that they are burying these stories beneath the crap for journalism news masquerade they present these days ? Co’mon Folks – CNN stands for Can’t NO REAL News get broadcasted on this Nutwork.
I’m surely tired of having to wade through the mess to find the facts. isn’t it time the media recognized their responsibility to report both sides of the story, instead of just the sensationalism ?
and for the record let it be known henceforth, I Happen To Really Like Mr. Bobo and I also enjoy reading his blog because it gives me an intelligent counterview, on the Pin Heads. as far as we can tell – he is not one of them. but he’s kinda watching them and standing very near them. we’re praying they don’t zombify him. if they do, we’ve got our favorite de-zombier on call – Dr. Faustroll – He Has Mercy On NO ONE, Us Included. and if that doesn’t work, we’re calling Black Jesus.. Whoo HA !!! we got a back-up plan fo yo ass Bobo.
*Our 39th President, Jimmy Carter, aka Mr. Nice Guy, was never a popular President in the U.S. and it seems that he’s not trying to win any brownie points now.
He is mad about the disrespect to our President and he has something to say.
He isn’t mincing any words on making it understood that the problems of racism have long been a problem in politics and its effect upon the country.
According to the Associated Press, Carter was quoted saying, “There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president.”
When Joe Wilson made his remark, “You lie!,” on the House floor, Carter attributes Wilson’s outburst to the growing heat the Republicans are feeling because a black man is at the helm of the most powerful nation in the world. He contends that the emotion sparking such disrespect is much “deeper” than a debate on health care reform.
(eurweb.com) *On Tuesday’s (09/15/09) episode of “The Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart made fun of right wing radio commentator Rush Limbaugh and the Drudge Report for trying to blame President Obama for a high school fight in which a black student beat up a white student.
The St. Louis-Dispatch reported that the altercation had nothing to do with race. According to a Belleville police captain, but rather it started over choice of seating. But Limbaugh, predictably offered up the incident as proof that Obama is somehow causing black-on-white racism throughout the U.S.
“You put your kids on a school bus you expect safety but in Obama’s America the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering ‘yeah, right on, right on, right on.’ Of course everybody said the white kid deserved it. He was born a racist, he’s white.
Of this, Stewart somberly and sarcastically came to the conclusion Tuesday night that “Because Barack Obama is president, it is now open season on white children.”
Below: Listen to Limbaugh’s entire rant as well as Jon Stewart’s commentary on the attempt by some conservatives to link the fight to Obama.
Aaron McGruder, Cartoonist and author of the Boondocks Cartoon Series; has set off a firestorm of controversy, by saying that he questions President Obamas’ Blackness.
Well Aaron, have we questioned your blackness lately ? it seems like your coonisms have finally infected your last strand of blackpride. sad indeed..
I guess that’s why Aaron McGruder, you are the subject or better put spectacle of our Fucked Up Friday this week.
I really believe he’s doing this because he wants MO’ Attention. Aaron Should just realize that America is composing it’s first giant step forward in two hundred years; and doesn’t need his cling to the past hankerchief head attitude to stiffle that move forward.
This is the Infamous Stinkmeaner – and if I’m not mistaken it may be what Aaron thinks about when he characterizes President Obama..
*Richmond, Indiana’s Pal-item.com is reporting that Aaron McGruder, creator of “The Boondocks” comic strip and animated series, left an audience at local Earlham College a little upset over comments he made about President Barack Obama.
Appearing at the college Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, McGruder answered questions posed by the audience and by associate professor James Logan. On the topic of race and ethnicity, McGruder said that to him, Obama is not black because he is not a descendant of a slave.
“The person who is one of us in the White House is Michelle Obama and her momma,” McGruder said. Obama’s father was Kenyan; his mother white.
McGruder, a Howard University graduate, went on to express an overall pessimistic view of the incoming Obama administration.
“I don’t think you’re going to see any dramatic change from Barack Obama,” said McGruder, who wore a “Boondocks” T-shirt over a black long-sleeve shirt and jeans. “I’m hoping he proves me completely wrong.”
McGruder bases his opinions of the U.S. presidency on the 2000 election and how nothing has been done since then to change the election system. “It was a sham then … It’s got to still be a sham,” McGruder said. “I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but it’s what I tend to do.”
UPDATE
*In response to the above story, Aaron McGruder has issued the following press release:
“For a long time now, I have tried to keep my opinions on the election and Barack Obama to myself. I occasionally do speaking engagements, which are not open to the press, and unfortunately some of my comments have been twisted around in a silly manner. The claim that I asserted our new President was not Black is categorically false.
“I have seen an endless stream of Black pundits on TV pontificating about the significance of President Obama’s election – many of them making reference to the 3/5th’s clause in the constitution regarding slaves. The point I was making is that this is not an accurate comparison.
“Barack is the son of an immigrant, not the descendant of slaves. It’s like comparing a half-Japanese man to the oppressed Chinese who built the American railroads. Yes, they are both Asian, but it is not an honest or accurate comparison. We all share the common experiences of being Black in America today – we do not all share a common history. A history that in part makes us who we are – and in some cases (as with the psychological damage that still lingers from slavery) holds us back. These are not, I believe, insignificant distinctions.
“I did say I was cautiously pessimistic about Obama’s Presidency – but this is simply acknowledging the reality of an American Empire that is out of control and on the verge of collapse. Let us not forget that on the eve of the election, we witnessed a near-trillion dollar robbery of the US treasury. That robbery is still taking place. I do not blame President Obama, but I do not believe the financial and corporate interests that own and control this country will fold so easily. I do not question the integrity of the man as much as the power of his office – which I believe has greatly diminished over the years. I believe the Federal Reserve Bank, the Military Industrial Complex, and the massive corporate interests that run this country have more power than our new President. I hope I am wrong.
“After 9/11, I witnessed most of this country become obsessed with squashing dissent and silencing critics. I hope this election does not turn Black America towards this same, fascist mind state; but already I am starting to see it, and it saddens me greatly. I absolutely wish our new President and his family success and safety. But after all I have witnessed in my lifetime, and especially in the last eight years, I am not ready to lay down my skepticism or my outrage for this government. To do so would be unwise and, ironically enough, anti-American.”
