The Vatican SKRATE Pimpin .. on YouTube,

Pope launches YouTube channel
Pope Benedict XVI is to launch a dedicated channel on YouTube this week.
Video footage and audio of addresses by Pope Benedict XVI, as well as news about the Holy See, will be posted directly onto the video sharing website.
The material, aimed at everyone from devout Catholics to the curious browser, will be supplied by Vatican Radio and the Vatican’s television centre in collaboration with Google, which owns YouTube.
It is the Vatican’s biggest plunge into new media, although it is not the first time that the city state has embraced the web in order to spread the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Since 1995 it has had a website, www.vatican.va, which publishes the pontiff’s pronouncements and teachings.
Its unofficial mouthpiece, the newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, also has its own website, as does Vatican Radio, which broadcasts in 39 languages.
A website dedicated to the Vatican City State, the world’s smallest independent state in population and size, features six webcams, one of which is permanently trained on the tomb of the last Pope, John Paul II.
Details of the YouTube presence are to be presented next week at a news conference held by Vatican officials and Henrique de Castro, managing director of media solutions for Google.
Meanwhile Pope Benedict has celebrated the 85th birthday of his brother, Georg Ratzinger, with a concert in the Sistine Chapel.
The voices of two sopranos and a tenor soared through the chapel where pontiffs are elected, and an orchestra and male choir from Regensburg, Germany, performed.
Georg Ratzinger is a former choirmaster who is now almost blind. The Pope, 81, has said his brother helps him accept old age with courage.
