Nas has been in the news since he first hit the charts in the 90′s. now he’s showing us why he’s a trailblazer. He sparked a humanitarian effort to help a DC family going through some very rough times. Watch This
“We Just Knew We Had To Do Something”, Nas Speaks On Stanley Young Campaign
After watching the Story of Stanley Young, an unemployed father of 8 who recently became homeless, Nas issued a Call to Action. Via Social media, Nas helped to bring awareness to the single father ‘s struggles and began a campaign to raise $25,000 for the family.
The donations began pouring in and soon reached $30,000 inspiring the MC to double his initial goal to $50,000.
Last night, Nas phoned in ABC7’s Jenny Doren to express his empathy for the single father as well as his gratitude to ABC7 for bringing awareness to the heartbreaking story. Nas plans to meet the Young family later this summer and hopes this campaign inspires everyone to help those in need in our community.
