It’s Kwanzaa and Americas’ got Some UN-Gifting To Do

Today Begins Kwanzaa for millions of Pan Africans who celebrate the feast of the first fruits.  The first day is Umoja – and this day is very significant to the family and village as a whole. It represents the principal of  unity.

This unity is for the family, nation and world.  We hope that each person who celebrates Kwanzaa this year will remember how each day effects the whole of those who celebrate it as a nation.    Mostly we hope that the Congressional Black Congress will use this opportunity as a teaching tool for those who don’t understand this principal; Like their fellow congressmen and the gop whip John Boehner.

We suggest that each member of the CBC take it upon themselves to educate another member of  the US Congress. One who may not understand how this principal effects the US as a whole nation.

We found this article today which we believe will be a good starting point for equalizing the conversation with real time news.  Clearly this is something that America cannot afford to continue to ignore.

US Economic Inequity Stems From White Supremacy

By: Imara Jones

As Americans await a fiscal-cliff solution that doesn’t appear to be on the horizon before 2013, Colorlines‘ Imara Jones writes that in order to tackle the worst wealth inequity in decades, Americans must call out and defeat systemic white supremacy.

Our collective denial over the fundamental injustice at the heart of our economic system is a result of white supremacy. The words “white supremacy” are radioactive to be sure. It pains me to write them. However, as a trained economist I go where the facts lead me. Since I have written potentially inflammatory words, let me be clear about what I mean.

White supremacy is a low-level assumption about characteristics that white people allegedly have which transforms inequality between them and everyone else into something natural. It often masks itself as fairness and goes unquestioned as a result. Using this definition, our current tax code is a work of white supremacy.

The fact that we’ve arrived at this point on the watch of the country’s first black president is an irony too large to ignore. Mostly victim, partly complicit, Obama is not fully to blame. Yet, economically speaking, the stubborn fact remains that the country is at a moment of racial injustice not seen in more than a generation. In the last four years, that injustice has only expanded and calcified.

White wealth is double what it was 30 years ago. Black and Latino wealth is at its lowest point ever recorded. These inequitable consequences flow directly from political choices embedded in our tax code. But since 1980 when these choices began to be implemented, we’ve talked ourselves out of race and into a mess when it comes to taxes. In fact the frame for our current fiscal debate has clear white supremacist roots.

Because we’re ahead of the game, several years ago we put together a series of videos on Powernomics – by Dr Claude Anderson. In this series you will come to understand not only why White Supremacy takes such a large chunk of every dollar in America; but what you can do to get your economic situation back in align. Your financial picture is largely compounded by the problems of the US Economy; unless you understand how to create your own independent stream of income and financial management.

We trust and implore you to share this post with as many folks as you know who are crying broke. Show them the way to financial independence and away from the evils of the congressional financial pit. Everyone in America knows just how white the money in America really is, when it finances murder, death and destruction all over the planet. More and more eachday the truth about the funding of bloodcrimes becomes news; because of it’s drain on legitimate needs like social and domestic programs for the taxpayers of the United States.

For as long as Rich White men see themselves as the be all and end all, this whitefaced money and debt will continue to oppress every one else. It’s time that America took a look into it’s financial coffers and added up who put what, where. That’s the only way that this mess of a financial scheme will finally come to an appropriate end.

America, aren’t you tired of being Broke and Tired ?

Then take today and do something about it

Stop sitting around waiting on your congress to do what they are elected to do, and demand they do it. Stop paying them and they will then get back into the office and answer the call to duty.
