Feelin Mavericky – Coffee, Hummers, Carpet Munching…and Cancer?
Republicans Spent $150,000 to Remake Sarah Palin

Kids and coffee voters give Obama the edge. While early voting is taking place in important swing states like Ohio, Florida and Virginia, the votes are in and the results are final from the children’s television network Nickelodeon. And the winner is…. Sen. Barack Obama.
“Family Guy” links McCain and Palin to Nazis.
It is over the top to suggest that Nazis would back McCain and Palin? “Family Guy” apparently didn’t think so. And the cartoon has found itself in hot water.

So now cartoons are getting in on the election action. On Sunday night, an episode of ‘Family Guy’ aired, suggesting that Nazi officers would have supported the McCain-Palin ticket. Stewie, the often crass, smart mouthed baby and his talking dog Brian travel back in time to 1939 Germany, during the invasion. Stewie and Brian jack up some Nazi officer’s in an alley and steal their uniforms so that they can travel around unnoticed.

Once Stewie puts on the jacket, he notices a McCain/Palin button on the lapel. And says, “Huh, that’s weird…” It’s no secret that the shows creator, Seth MacFarlane is an ardent Barack Obama supporter. I’m sure once the GOP catches wind of this little cartoon, they’ll call for Obama to denounce it, funny that Family Guy airs on Faux Fox Network.
However you know the question must be asked, did the often raunchy and controversial cartoon take it to far this time? Is it just over the top to suggest that Nazi’s would support the McCain campaign? Are you offended?

Alaska’s Blacks lash out against Palin
. The Last Frontier’s powerful African-American community is speaking out against Republican V.P. nominee Sarah Palin. The relationship between Palin and Black leaders have been tense at times ever since becoming Alaska’s Governor in 2006, according to news reports. For instance, the governor riled Black leaders when she opposed a Juneteenth proclamation that would have endorsed a festival that celebrates the freeing of Black slaves. While 29 states officially celebrate the holiday, Palin deliberately refused to recognize it in 2007. Black leaders say that is not the only example of her insensitivity
