Welcome to Chuuch, and a non too subtle reminder that we must not forget about our family in Haiti – who still need our attention and support.
The clipping below is from a piece in today’s NYTimes. I found it particularly interesting as it compares today to recent history; which is rare in the case of Haiti and the News Media. to read the entire piece, which is quite interesting click here
Sadly we report that the Annual Smile Jamaica Concert will not be held this year. Jamaican’s.com reported today (01/26/2010) that apparently there are some issues preventing the promoters, from making the 2010 Bob Marley Smile Jamaica Birthday Show from happening. they say that 2011 will be bigger and better. We will be waiting to see.
Haiti, seems to be in a holding pattern. not going forward, not figuring out what has to be done; just holding it’s hands and praying that this nightmare will end.. When Lord, When ?
These Stories are all about Haitis’ Humanitarian Crisis.. these are not from the mainstream media – like cnn. these are stories coming from the people who are impacted themselves. Haitians Telling Their Pain and Asking for HELP, instead of a US Military Occupation and casse-pieds.
to think that the US Army refused permission to CARICOM Heads of State to land in Port au Prince is basically a pirate manuever.
how does a casse-piedsgeneral have the right to decline an order by a President from a Host Nation ?
