Just In Case You Haven’t Heard – NYPD Has a Problem with Stop and Frisk. A 600% increase in Stop in Frisk actions toward Minorities means that there is a clear problem with Racial Profiling.
This is a segment from Democracy Now -
This is how the community sees’ it from 30 years ago – interpreted by NWA. Everyone remembers this and it’s time we started singing it again.
NYPD Can You Hear Us Now ?
For too long the NYPD has terrorized the people of Harlem. They arrest us for weed possession just to meet their quotas, young blacks and latino’s are frisked by the police for no reason other than to intimidate.
This is the silent march that was held in June on Fathers Day June 2012-
On the 27th of July, we will meet at the park on 99th and 3rd at 8PM sharp dressed in black and take the streets of Harlem.
Racial Profiling is a Coast to Coast Issue – but NYPD Has gone beyond any semblance of law enforcement. In 2012 if the NYPD Continues at their present rate; there will be an estimated 800,000. stop and frisk actions on minorities.
This is not Law Enforcement – This is a Criminal Act,
It’s time that the NYPD learned and started adhering to the real meaning of the Stop and Frisk Law. New York Legislators have a duty to make laws that protect people, and this is one that is clearly a danger to everyone. The mentality of the NYPD brought us the murders of Amadou Diallo, Sean Bell and Hundreds of others. People must be treated with equal respect under the law. The NY Courts Have Agreed.
Until Ray Kelly clarifies the Stop and Frisk Law to his NYPD we can expect the jails and court systems in New York to continue to be overburdened with police abuse.
The citizens of New York deserve Law Enforcement Not Police Abuse. NYPD Needs to Understand This –
Be There on 7/27 to Make the Point.
